While the majority of the photography I do is digital, I do like taking the occasional step back to slow down my process and be more mindful by using a Hasselblad 500CM medium format film camera. The 500CM has a unique aesthetic that is difficult to replicate with digital photography, even with the vast array of editing tools at our disposal.

I find the Hasselblad 500C to be a fantastic tool to use for film photography, and not just because of its iconic place in the history of photography. A workhorse of a camera with amazing engineering, it has been used by the likes of Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, and Helmut Newton, and even by the Apollo astronaughts during their explorations on the moon.

This selection of images contains a number that were shot on expired E6 film, which can provide random and subtle defects that can enhance the results in suprising ways.

* All images shot using a Hasselblad 500CM except where noted.
